Support Lines for Great Northern Casino Trips
If gambling no longer feels like part of the trip, Alberta has help a single call away, day or night. This page gathers those lines and shows how the Roadbook desk assembles the guide.

Who to call in Alberta
- Recovery Alberta operates the Addiction Helpline, which takes calls around the clock at 1-866-332-2322. Calls are confidential, cost nothing and can be about gambling.
- 211 Alberta is reached by dialling 211, texting INFO to 211 or opening its web chat. It never closes, costs nothing, stays confidential and points people to gambling support.
- Only online, through selfexclusion.ca, can AGLC self-exclusion be set up. The exclusion may apply to regulated online gaming, to Alberta's casinos and racing entertainment centres, or to both. Terms are three years, two years, one year or six months; it begins at once, and it cannot be shortened.
- GameSense Advisors and an information centre are part of every Alberta casino and racing entertainment centre. At Great Northern Casino, a Responsible Gambling Info Centre representative works on site.
One habit
Before the car leaves town
Settle two things before the car leaves town: the limit for the floor and the hour you will leave. Say both out loud to the person riding with you. A plan spoken before the trip is harder to quietly rewrite at the table. If you travel alone, write the time down and set an alarm on your phone. The limit stays a number you chose, not one the evening picks.

How the Roadbook desk works
Behind the guide stands no named author; the Roadbook desk is the shared name under which it is written and signed. On October 1, 2026, it checked facts against the casino's own pages and the Evergreen Park and Wild Horse pages. Recovery Alberta, AGLC, OpenStreetMap, the Alberta iGaming Corporation and the Service Plus Inns & Suites pages were also checked.
Because each distance runs straight from a town centre to the casino between OpenStreetMap points, no driving times are given. Real roads are always longer; a Google Maps link opens each route.
Numbers typed into the calculators and planners stay on your device, and your theme or settings may be saved locally. Each visit is tallied cookie-free by an outside tool that gets your network address and browser. Each paid link carries the Ad label, sits on the home page alone and brings the guide a commission.
No image in the Roadbook is a photograph; each one came out of an image generator. Three of them show real places, each built from real photographs of its subject and seen from a new angle, at a new hour. They are the Great Northern Casino entrance with its sign, a booth-lined restaurant room at Evergreen Park and the Wild Horse lounge. The roads, the fields and the city streets had no real model behind them. Figures in the frames are invented, and nobody was photographed at either place.
Letters from the road reach the desk at write@grandeprairiecasino.online. An hour that has changed, or a distance that looks wrong, gives the desk something to correct. Plain curiosity about how the roadbook is put together is welcome there too. That mailbox is the guide's, not the casino's. Questions for Great Northern Casino itself go to 780-539-4454.
Questions
Short answers for the road
01Can the Addiction Helpline be called at 3 a.m.?
Yes, the line answers at any hour. Recovery Alberta runs it at 1-866-332-2322, in confidence and at no cost, and it takes calls about gambling.
02Can self-exclusion be ended early?
No, there is no way to shorten it. Once it is arranged at selfexclusion.ca, it applies straight away and holds for the full term chosen, whether three years, two years, one year or six months.
